Boston in 2020
Urban Success Story, Shrinking City, or Somewhere in Between
Join us for an exciting look at the future of Boston with Bob Maloney (Ross MBA '88, bio below) as he presents some recent visions for Boston's largest real estate development sites and insights into the opportunities and challenges that the City faces. With moderator Brian Swett (Ross MBA '08, with Boston Properties), the presentation will focus on two of the most dynamic and re-developing areas of Boston - Downtown Crossing and the Seaport - as a starting point for a discussion about the future of the City: What will the skyline look like in 2020? Who will developers target to live downtown and where will they work? What will be the great new neighborhoods? How much density will Boston allow? What are the barriers to development in the City? How has the Great Recession impacted development in Boston? Come be part of an open conversation about Boston's future. As always, colleagues and friends are welcome.
